This brings all kinds of buzz about who will be playing what roles and what actors\/actresses are returning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gunn is famous for his work on the <strong><em>Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em><\/strong> trilogy with <strong>Marvel<\/strong>. One of the franchise&#8217;s key characters is <strong>Gamora<\/strong> (the feisty heroine you can see below), played by none other than <strong>Zoe Salda\u00f1a<\/strong>. Zoe has now expressed interest in joining the DCU!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/guardians-of-the-galaxy-zoe-saldana-chris-pratt-rocket_-_h_2018.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/guardians-of-the-galaxy-zoe-saldana-chris-pratt-rocket_-_h_2018.jpg 768w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/guardians-of-the-galaxy-zoe-saldana-chris-pratt-rocket_-_h_2018-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an interview with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/movies\/news\/zoe-saldana-open-dc-comics-role-james-gunn\/\">ComicBook.com<\/a><\/strong>, Zoe said that she has sons who love to read comics, so playing a character they could watch on the screen for years would be right up her alley! Then, James Gunn responded to a user on Threads when asked if he would be interested in working with her and whether he had a role in mind &#8211; and he said yes to both! This is exciting news for fans of Zoe and Gunn&#8217;s work together.
