{"id":41702,"date":"2022-04-22T20:54:43","date_gmt":"2022-04-23T03:54:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/?p=41702"},"modified":"2022-05-04T13:54:25","modified_gmt":"2022-05-04T20:54:25","slug":"nintendo-surprises-fans-with-a-new-splatoon-3-gameplay-trailer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/?p=41702","title":{"rendered":"Nintendo surprises fans with a new Splatoon 3 gameplay trailer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn1.dotesports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/09122858\/acd63090-7176-11eb-bfba-162b33215f86.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Nintendo<\/strong> has released a new gameplay trailer and announced the release date for the highly anticipated online multiplayer game, <em><strong>Splatoon 3<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After many Nintendo aficionados speculated that something smelled fishy with the surprise release date announcement of <em><strong>Xenoblade Chronicles<\/strong><\/em> <em><strong>3<\/strong><\/em> moving up from September to July, today, they learned that this move was indeed done on purpose. <em>Xenoblade Chronicles 3<\/em> has swapped release dates with <em>Splatoon 3<\/em>. With the ink shooter dropping at the tail end of summer 2022, this slight shift gives the developers at the Squid Research Lab a few more weeks to ensure that the third installment of the fresh franchise is thoroughly polished and ready to go on September 9th, 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the trailer below, <em><strong>Splatoon<\/strong><\/em> fans receive the news that they&#8217;ve all been waiting for on top of a showcase of the new special weapons, modified special weapons from the first game, and the new main bow &amp; arrow weapon class called the Stringer. With this massive announcement made, Nintendo has also added the<strong><em> Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion<\/em><\/strong> DLC to the Switch Online Expansion Pack, which adds another big block of content value to the bundle along with Happy Home Paradise for <strong><em>Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/em><\/strong> and the recently launched <strong><em>Mario Kart 8 Deluxe<\/em><\/strong> Booster Pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Splatoon 3 \u2013 Release Date Revealed  - Nintendo Switch\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Rkz-PjCQjWk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Splatoon 3<\/em> launches on the Nintendo Switch on September 9th, 2022.
