Since the theatrical release of the film, the director, <strong>David Ayer<\/strong>, has been cordially vocal over the fact that he didn&#8217;t get to deliver his version of <em>Suicide Squad<\/em> in 2016, as Warner Bros. took control of the final cut. Over the years, Ayer has taken to social media to give fans new looks at his cut of the film and this past week has been no different with some intriguing new looks into his original vision for Task Force X. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First up is a new look at some of the alternative designs that were taken under consideration for <strong>Margot Robbie<\/strong>&#8216;s take on <strong>Dr. Harleen Quinzel<\/strong>&#8216;s alter ego, <strong>Harley Quinn<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Many many different designs and concepts were tried out. A director will be presented multiple iterations, often from several artists. Sometimes multiple wardrobe builds are tested. While it appears that duo still played a large role in his version of the film, Ayer has now revealed how he had envisioned the ancient god Incubus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This is the look I wanted \ud83d\ude14 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/s4nG2HyG7E\">pic.twitter.com\/s4nG2HyG7E<\/a><\/p>&mdash; David Ayer (@DavidAyerMovies) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DavidAyerMovies\/status\/1458179732302823429?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 9, 2021<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last but certainly not least is a new look at an alternative design for <strong>Jared Leto&#8217;s Joker<\/strong>. It&#8217;s well know by now that things didn&#8217;t exactly break the way the actor and director had hoped for this reimagining of the <strong>Clown Prince of Crime<\/strong>. Advocates against Leto&#8217;s look probably won&#8217;t change their opinion given this alternate design; nonetheless it is still intriguing to see the various designs that were considered for such an iconic character. For now things have remained unchanged and it&#8217;ll certainly be interesting to see whether fans will be treated to the Ayer Cut someday in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>What do you guys think of these alternative concepts?
