Robin Givens<\/strong> is coming to Gotham for season three of The CW<\/strong>\u2019s Batwoman<\/em><\/strong>. According to Deadline<\/strong>, the tv\/film veteran has been cast as series regular Jada Jet<\/strong>, a strong passionate woman who overcame great past adversity to become the powerful CEO of Jet Industries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jet has a mercurial 20-something son, Marquis<\/strong>, keeping her on her toes. She may also share a strong connection with the show\u2019s title character. Revealed to have given up her first child as a young mother, could Jada Jet be Ryan Wilder\u2019s birth mother whom we learned is alive last season?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported last week<\/a>, Berlanti Productions<\/strong> and The CW have yet to cast two other pivotal roles for Batwoman<\/em> season three: Jada\u2019s son Marquis and Detective Renee Montoya<\/strong>. Montoya has left the GCPD and currently mans a desk in the mayor\u2019s so-called \u201cFreaks Division.\u201d Given the character\u2019s well-known history as LGBTQ+, the casting call specifically encourages actors of that community to submit for the role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Givens currently appears in the Netflix<\/strong> series Head of the Class<\/em><\/strong>, reprising her breakout role of Darlene Merriman in the 1980s ABC<\/strong> series of the same name. With over 100 credits as an actress alone, her most recent credits range from features such as Tyler Perry\u2019s The Family That Preys<\/em><\/strong> to tv hits Everybody Hates Chris<\/em><\/strong> and Lucifer<\/em><\/strong>. She\u2019s also familiar to CW audiences, having appeared in 90210<\/em><\/strong>, Riverdale<\/em><\/strong>, and Katy Keene<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Batwoman season three premieres Wednesday, October 13, at 9pm following the season seven premiere of Legends of Tomorrow on The CW.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
