After multiple weeks of brilliant <strong>marketing<\/strong>, the director and <strong>Netflix<\/strong> have now released an exclusive <strong>first look<\/strong> at just what fans should expect from this genre-blended spectacle, come <strong>May 21<\/strong>. A group of <strong>Army soldiers<\/strong> is first shown leaving a <strong>base<\/strong> with a giant <strong>container<\/strong> in their midst. As the <strong>security detail<\/strong> pulls out, the <strong>shot<\/strong> reveals the location as being a <strong>desert highway<\/strong>. This is cut specifically against a pair of <strong>newlyweds<\/strong> on their way to consummate their marriage. Both drivers become distracted from the cryptic conversation in the army truck and the couple&#8217;s frisky shenanigans, leading to both parties having an <strong>explosive<\/strong> wreck on the road. Unfortunately, the <strong>danger<\/strong> is far from over for the <strong>survivors<\/strong>. Two of the members manage to run away from the scene, but hearing their companions&#8217; <strong>screams<\/strong>, they know they are <strong>doomed<\/strong>. As the sun has all but set, the two realize that the <strong>deadly<\/strong> zombie is now <strong>hunting<\/strong> them in the dark. A massive multitude of the <strong>undead<\/strong> is shown to have completely taken over the city, as iconic <strong>locations<\/strong> are shown being completely <strong>overrun<\/strong> by the massive horde that eventually gets <strong>bombed<\/strong> and walled in. The main <strong>cast<\/strong> battles its way through the <strong>chaos<\/strong> with fun character portrait cutaways before culminating in the group barely making it to <strong>safety<\/strong>.
