Academy Award <\/strong>winner Russell Crowe<\/strong>, known for his roles as Maximus<\/strong> in Gladiator<\/em><\/strong> and Jor-El<\/strong> in the DC Extended Universe,<\/strong> will join the cast of Taika Waititi’<\/strong>s Thor: Love and Thunder<\/em><\/strong> in a undisclosed role. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thor: Love and Thunder<\/em>‘s is currently filming in Australia<\/strong>.<\/a> Chris Hemsworth <\/strong>is returning as the God of Thunder,<\/strong> and he is being joined by an all-star cast that includes the Guardians of the Galaxy.<\/strong> Besides Crowe, other Academy Award winners will also be appearing in the film. Christian Bale<\/strong>\u00a0will portray the\u00a0film\u2019s antagonist<\/a>,\u00a0Gorr the God Butcher<\/strong> and Matt Damon<\/strong> will reprise his role from 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok<\/em><\/strong> as the Asgardian<\/strong> acting as Loki <\/strong>in a stage play. Natalie Portman\u00a0<\/strong>will take center-stage in a story that involves her\u00a0Jane Foster<\/strong>\u00a0taking the mantle and powers of Thor\u00a0<\/a>by wielding the mighty\u00a0Mjolnir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crowe’s involvement in the upcoming Marvel Studios<\/strong>‘ blockbuster has been rumored ever since he was spotted with several members of the cast and crew, including Waititi and Hemsworth, this past week in a rugby match.
