In October last year, it was revealed that a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/strong> <\/a>film was officially being made and is set to release later this year. The film’s producer, Fede Alvarez<\/strong>, has provided a few new details as to what fans of the classic horror franchise can expect in this new installment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alvarez has stated that Texas Chainsaw<\/em><\/strong> will indeed be a “direct sequel” to the original film and will include “old man Leatherface<\/strong>.” This could possibly something similar to what John Carpenter<\/strong> did with the recent Halloween<\/strong> reboot in 2018. The new of this being tied into the original film came from an interview that Alvarez did with Bloody Disgusting<\/a>. Along with stating that it’s a direct sequel and that it will feature old man Leatherface, he also had this to say about the film: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything is classic, old school gags.\u00a0A lot of the approach that we had with\u00a0Evil Dead<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 never VFX, to do everything on camera. It\u2019s a very old-school approach to filmmaking.\u00a0Vintage lenses\u2026it\u2019s very similar to the original film.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

While details on the film are still a little scarce, we know that some of the cast will include: Elsie Fisher<\/strong>, Jacob Latimore<\/strong>, Sarah Yarkin<\/strong>, Mark Burnham<\/strong>, Olwen Fou\u00e9r\u00e9<\/strong>, Alice Krige<\/strong>, Nell Hudson<\/strong>, Jessica<\/strong>\u00a0Allain<\/strong>, \u00a0Sam Douglas<\/strong>, William Hope<\/strong>, Jolyon Coy<\/strong>, and Moe Dunford<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
