The &#8220;<em><strong>The Raid<\/strong><\/em>&#8221; franchise&#8217;s director just signed on for an exclusive <strong>deal<\/strong> with the streaming giant to develop a new batch of films. Evans created a masterpiece of martial arts <strong>cinema<\/strong> in both entries. While the <strong>concept<\/strong> is simple enough, Evans proved he knew what made a grade-A <strong>action<\/strong> movie. <em>The Raid<\/em> essentially revolves around a <strong>SWAT<\/strong> team entering a building in search of a <strong>mobster<\/strong>, but the group is locked in with his forces. Most fans may know of his iconic <strong>comic book<\/strong> roles of <strong>Bane<\/strong> in Nolan&#8217;s <strong><em>The Dark Knight Rises<\/em><\/strong>, or more recently, as <strong><em>Eddie Brock\/Venom<\/em><\/strong> in Sony&#8217;s MCU-adjacent <strong><em>Venom<\/em><\/strong> entries. While both characters are excellent looks at the actor&#8217;s <strong>physicality<\/strong>, look no further than his role in 2011&#8217;s <strong><em>Warrior<\/em><\/strong> as an <strong>MMA fighter<\/strong> to see just how many <strong>brutal tools<\/strong> the actor can bring to the table. Hardy is set to play a battered and beaten <strong>detective<\/strong> who&#8217;s on the tail of a <strong>kidnapped<\/strong> child in the heart of a dangerous <strong>criminal underworld<\/strong>.
