{"id":35227,"date":"2021-01-28T22:09:09","date_gmt":"2021-01-29T06:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/?p=35227"},"modified":"2021-06-15T14:09:18","modified_gmt":"2021-06-15T21:09:18","slug":"michelle-pfeiffer-is-open-to-returning-as-catwoman-for-the-flash-film","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/?p=35227","title":{"rendered":"Michelle Pfeiffer is Open to Returning as Catwoman for The Flash Film"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pyxis.nymag.com\/v1\/imgs\/634\/32b\/1bba025d6df40bb4b256bfbaa6fa4e926e-23-michelle-pfeiffer-catwoman.2x.rsocial.w600.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the list of DC characters making a comeback for the upcoming <em><strong>The<\/strong> <strong>Flash<\/strong><\/em> film grows, <strong>Michelle<\/strong> <strong>Pfeiffer<\/strong> claims she would love for her <strong>Catwoman<\/strong> to join the mix. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a recent interview with ScreenRant about her upcoming comedy film, <em><strong>French<\/strong> <strong>Exit<\/strong><\/em>, Pfeiffer was asked whether or not she would be suiting up as Catwoman opposite <strong>Michael<\/strong> <strong>Keaton<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Batman<\/strong> for <em>The Flash<\/em>, to which she responded;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;I would if anyone asked me but no one&#8217;s asked me yet.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/batman-returns-is-this-a-christmas-movie.jpg?quality=80&amp;strip=all&amp;w=680&amp;h=356&amp;crop=1\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pfeiffer played the role of <strong>Selina<\/strong> <strong>Kyle<\/strong>, aka Catwoman, in the 1992 film <strong><em>Batman<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>Returns<\/em><\/strong>, alongside Keaton&#8217;s Batman and <strong>Danny<\/strong> <strong>DeVito<\/strong> as <strong>The<\/strong> <strong>Penguin<\/strong>, garnering massive acclaim from comic fans for her portrayal of the infamous cat burglar. With Keaton set to join <strong>Ezra Miller<\/strong>&#8216;s Scarlet Speedster in his debut film, seeing Pfeiffer&#8217;s Catwoman suiting up alongside the Dark Knight once more would definitely be exciting. For lots of DC fans, Keaton&#8217;s Batman and Pfeiffer&#8217;s Catwoman are the definitive versions of those characters, so a reunion between the two should definitely be in order. Maybe they can even use Pfeiffer&#8217;s involvement to explain that interesting <a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2020\/07\/the-flash-easter-egg-in-batman-returns\/\">Flash easter egg from <em>Batman<\/em> <em>Returns<\/em>&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While nothing has been confirmed, the list of returning DC actors for <em>The Flash <\/em>continues to grow, with new rumors coming out almost daily. Director <strong>Andy<\/strong> <strong>Muschietti<\/strong> certainly has his hands full, but here&#8217;s to hoping he agrees with Michelle Pfeiffer&#8217;s sentiment about bringing back the feline villainess.
