Disney<\/strong>‘s growing tent of properties has blown up bigger than ever. Phase 4<\/strong> and beyond now promises the semi-connected Spider-Man<\/strong> characters, while formally welcoming The X-Men<\/strong> and The Fantastic Four<\/strong>. But many fans have been wondering where that leaves the Netflix<\/strong> “Defenders<\/strong>” properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Daredevil<\/strong>, Jessica Jones<\/strong>, Luke Cage<\/strong>, and The Iron Fist<\/strong> have finally been freed from their legal production rights, and are looking for a new home. Luckily, the MCU<\/strong> might just make room at the grand table for the crew. Kevin Feige<\/strong> recently discussed the hopeful details in an interview:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Well, certainly you\u2019ve seen what we announced at Comic-Con a year and half ago and on Disney Investor Day a few weeks ago, so that\u2019s our focus, but I\u2019ve been at Marvel long enough to never say never<\/strong> about anything.”<\/p>Via: Deadline<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Previously, the shows were loosely in the MCU, like the Sony Universe<\/strong> films will be: they referenced plot details from the universe that related to the characters, but the characters couldn’t actually appear in official MCU films. Now, Marvel<\/strong>‘s adoption of time travel<\/strong> and the multiverse<\/strong>, in particular, make almost anything possible again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Spider-Man 3<\/em><\/strong> may be of particular interest to fans of the characters. The casting implies a hard lean on the multiverse, with the likes of Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus<\/strong> and Jaime Foxx’s Electro<\/strong> returning in some fashion. Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange<\/strong> is set to assist the Web-Head<\/strong>, further implying an open door for multiple Marvel dimensions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Spider-Man: Far From Home<\/strong><\/em>‘s ending is where Cox’s Matt Murdock<\/strong> may yet come into play for the sequel. As the Wall-Crawler<\/strong>‘s identity has now been exposed, his fellow New Yorker<\/strong>, superhero<\/strong>, lawyer<\/strong> friend may just lend a hand at clearing his name. While just a theory, Feige’s comments paint an interesting picture for the fan-favored crossover<\/strong> to actually occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
