With <strong><em>Wonder Woman 1984<\/em><\/strong> set to release on <strong>Christmas Day<\/strong> simultaneously in movie theaters and on <strong>HBO Max<\/strong>, fans will quickly turn their attention to <strong><em>Zack Snyder\u2019s Justice League<\/em><\/strong> and then towards <strong><em>James Gunn\u2019s The Suicide Squad<\/em><\/strong>. Wolfgang Schmidt (right) who is Peacemaker\u2019s father from the comics. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Auggie Smith, who is being portrayed <em><strong>Terminator 2: Judgement Day<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;s\u00a0villain Robert Patrick is portraying the father of Cena\u2019s Peacemaker\/<strong>Christopher Smith<\/strong> character. Auggie is described as &#8220;a strongly opinionated, vulgar, small-town racist who is powerful and cunning.&#8221; Interestingly enough, the report theorizes that this description closely resembles Peacemaker\u2019s father from the comics, <strong>Wolfgang Schmidt<\/strong>. Schmidt was a <strong>Nazi<\/strong> who ran a concentration camp during <strong>World War II<\/strong>, and ultimately chooses to commit suicide and after his death, Wolfgang continued to haunt a younger Christopher Smith which ultimately was the origin for his motivation to become the vigilante known as Peacemaker. <em>The Illuminerdi<\/em> goes on to claim will serve as a series regular, but only for a one-season deal. While these details don\u2019t give much in terms of spoilers, it\u2019ll certainly be interesting to see what role these characters play in <em>Peacemaker\u2019s<\/em> overall plot narrative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HBO Max\u2019s\u00a0<em>Peacemaker<\/em>, the TV series spin-off of James Gunn\u2019s upcoming\u00a0<em>The Suicide Squad film<\/em>, puts the focus on John Cena\u2019s Peacemaker character, a man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. Gunn scripted all eight episodes of the series, and is directing multiple episodes including the pilot episode. <em>The Suicide Squad<\/em>\u00a0is tentatively scheduled to be released on August 6th 2021 while HBO Max\u2019s\u00a0<em>Peacemaker<\/em>\u00a0series has yet to land a official release date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are you guys excited for the upcoming <em>Peacemaker<\/em> series?
