Entertainment&#8217;s<\/strong> biggest PR debacle since former chairman and CEO K<strong>evin Tsujihara<\/strong> was outed as a sexual predator, <strong>Ray Fisher<\/strong>, the actor who portrays <strong>Victor Stone\/Cyborg<\/strong> in the<strong> DC Extended Universe<\/strong>, has taken to Twitter to accuse Warner Bros. of spreading misinformation regarding his role in the upcoming film <em><strong>The Flash<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It would appear that <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wbpictures?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@wbpictures<\/a> has gone from giving libelous official statements to one media outlet, to becoming \u201ca source\u201d of purposeful misinformation for another.<br><br>The people are on to you.<br><br>The investigation is coming.<br><br>Casting aspersions on me will not change that.<br><br>A&gt;E<\/p>&mdash; Ray Fisher (@ray8fisher) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ray8fisher\/status\/1308955614924636162?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 24, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tweet came about the same day <strong>The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/heat-vision\/zack-snyder-planning-new-justice-league-shoot-amid-ray-fisher-claims\">published an article<\/a> detailing the current state of affairs between Fisher&#8217;s team and those at Warner Bros. Pictures. According to THR, WB upped its negotiated price for what&#8217;s described as a &#8220;three-scene appearance,&#8221; to which Fisher&#8217;s team requested double the amount of money. Fisher has called the legitimacy of this story, accusing the studio of feeding THR purposeful misinformation  in hopes of distracting from their own transgressions and bringing Fisher&#8217;s integrity into question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ongoing conflict between Fisher and WB is one with traces back to the well-chronicled reshoots of 2017&#8217;s <em>Justice League<\/em> that resulted in the infamous cut released in theaters, known colloquially among fans as &#8220;Josstice League&#8221;. The nickname comes from the fact that after <strong>Zack Snyder<\/strong>, following a family tragedy, departed post-production of his mostly complete film, then-DC Films heads <strong>Geoff Johns<\/strong> and <strong>Jon Berg <\/strong>brought on <em>The Avengers<\/em> and <em>Avengers: Age of Ultron<\/em> director<strong> Joss Whedon<\/strong> to write and direct <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/11\/19\/movies\/snyder-cut-gadot-affleck.html\">a reported 80 pages of new scenes<\/a> in a move that can only be described as opportunistic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Fisher, Whedon&#8217;s treatment of the film&#8217;s cast and crew was &#8220;gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable,&#8221; and the <em>Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> creator was &#8220;enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Joss Wheadon\u2019s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. <br><br>He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. <br><br>Accountability&gt;Entertainment<\/p>&mdash; Ray Fisher (@ray8fisher) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ray8fisher\/status\/1278362556214755329?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 1, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The story, well-chronicled by pop-culture news outlets such as <strong>ComicBook.com<\/strong> and <strong>Variety<\/strong>, has gained enough traction that current CEO of Warner Bros. Entertainment&#8217;s parent company <strong>WarnerMedia<\/strong>, <strong>Jason Kilar<\/strong>, has begun conducting a full official investigation into the claims.
