When one thinks of Orson Welles or Ridley Scott, cinematic classics <em>Citizen Kane<\/em> and <em>Alien<\/em> spring to mind for these two men. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If someone was to say the name <strong>Francis Ford Coppola<\/strong>, two things will click immediately. <em>Apocalypse Now<\/em> and <em><strong>The Godfather<\/strong><\/em> film trilogy. Both of these particular cinematic gems are famous for the stories they have brought to the big screen and are infamous as well for the problems associated with them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For <strong><em>The Godfather Part III<\/em><\/strong>, it has suffered greatly from a bad reputation as the least strong of the three movies. Now <strong>Paramount Pictures<\/strong> and Coppola are teaming up to release a re-edit of the movie, one that will honor the original vision and spirit of the finale. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coppola released a statement about the planned re-edit: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Mario Puzo\u2019s The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone is an acknowledgement of Mario\u2019s and my preferred title and our original intentions for what became The Godfather: Part III. For this version of the finale, I created a new beginning and ending, and rearranged some scenes, shots, and music cues.
