This would mean that, like Season 2, there is an extra episode in the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Stranger Things 4: the complete season. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ST4?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#ST4<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DAjQFnPVGq\">pic.twitter.com\/DAjQFnPVGq<\/a><\/p>&mdash; stranger writers (@strangerwriters) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/strangerwriters\/status\/1273734684321517568?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 18, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dyer, who plays <strong>Nancy Wheeler <\/strong>on the show, confirmed to <em>Hollywood Reporter<\/em> that the season does indeed &#8220;appear to be&#8221; nine episodes long.  The actress went on to discuss how writing for the show is usually an ongoing process alongside production, and how the pandemic and ensuing production halt has given writers more time to flex their creative muscles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;Normally, we get the first few scripts, and then they have to keep writing due to the schedule of it. And it takes a while to craft a script. So, normally, there\u2019s a kind of &#8216;writing as we\u2019re going,&#8217; but it seems they\u2019ve had enough time. I think it\u2019s maybe been a blessing for the writers, in some way, because they had the time to just sit down, think and create.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"685\" src=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/nancy-wheeler-season-3-1024x685.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27860\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/nancy-wheeler-season-3-1024x685.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/nancy-wheeler-season-3-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/nancy-wheeler-season-3-768x514.jpg 768w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/nancy-wheeler-season-3-165x109.jpg 165w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/nancy-wheeler-season-3.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The actress also discussed her reaction to the COVID-19 production shutdown, saying that they were just a few weeks into filming when they were instructed to halt production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;[I]t\u2019s kind of wild to think about because [production is] something that you look forward to so much, and there\u2019s so much preparation and excitement around it. And then, we start and stop. And now, it&#8217;s been quite a while. But I\u2019m very, very excited for when we do go back. I\u2019m excited by the scripts. I\u2019m excited for everything that this season is going to be. But yeah, it\u2019s an interesting time to be in this industry, for sure.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also discussed in the interview was how Dyer learned how to handle guns for her role as Nancy, as well as her experiences with the Netflix horror film <strong><em>Velvet Buzzsaw<\/em><\/strong>.
