Unfortunately, in this case, TwitchCon San Diego has been fully cancelled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The TwitchCon Twitter page shared the following announcement on the status of the convention, with the promise that they are &#8220;exploring ways that we could join forces in an alternate dimension later this year.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">An update on TwitchCon San Diego and what comes next. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ft2P5gtRX2\">pic.twitter.com\/ft2P5gtRX2<\/a><\/p>&mdash; GlitchCon (@TwitchCon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TwitchCon\/status\/1273664538253148160?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 18, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TwitchCon Amsterdam 2020<\/strong> was also cancelled in March due to coronavirus health and safety restrictions. Other large conventions that have been cancelled this year include <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2020\/03\/e3-officially-cancelled-exhibitors-plan-to-showcase-updates-via-digital-events\/\">E3<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2020\/04\/san-diego-comic-con-2020-officially-canceled\/\">San Diego Comic Con<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2020\/04\/gamescom-2020-cancelled-will-be-replaced-with-digital-event\/\">Gamescom<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2020\/05\/update-blizzon-2020-canceled\/\">Blizzcon<\/a><\/strong>.
