The film was directed by Sam Liu and Justin Copeland. The movie stars Rosario Dawson, Jeffrey Donovan, Marie Avgeropoulos, Adrienne C. Moore, and Mozhan Marno. The plot sees <strong>Diana<\/strong> tracking down the elusive <strong>Dr. Cyber<\/strong> as she turns one of her closest friends into a cybernetic supervillain. <strong>Wonder Woman<\/strong> must face off against this new villain and many Greek weapons to save her friend\u2019s life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image.jpg 1919w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rosario Dawson really gets her chance to shine as Wonder Woman in this movie. Her character has often been pushed into a supporting role for most of these movies, so it\u2019s nice to see her show off her capabilities as the lead character. Her supporting cast also stood out for me, the interactions with Steve Trevor and Etta Candy were fun to see. I appreciate how this film takes its time: the first 20 minutes are spent developing Wonder Woman\u2019s relationship with the <strong>Silver Swan<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"568\" src=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/wonder-woman-bloodlines-1190136-1280x0-1-1024x568.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25151\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/wonder-woman-bloodlines-1190136-1280x0-1-1024x568.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/wonder-woman-bloodlines-1190136-1280x0-1-300x166.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/wonder-woman-bloodlines-1190136-1280x0-1-768x426.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/wonder-woman-bloodlines-1190136-1280x0-1.jpeg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I do think the other villains were extremely underwhelming. <strong>Dr. Poison<\/strong> is really no more than a lackey for main villain Dr. Cyber, but she doesn\u2019t really have any characterization. <strong>Medusa<\/strong>\u2019s inclusion feels pointless because she\u2019s really only there to give Wonder Woman something to punch in the final battle. What\u2019s also annoying is that a pivotal plot point and revelation is saved for an easily missed end-credit scene that could have been put before the credits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/maxresdefault-4-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25148\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/maxresdefault-4-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/maxresdefault-4-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/maxresdefault-4-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/maxresdefault-4.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This movie has me wishing for more animated Wonder Woman movies in the future. Rosario Dawson puts her all into possibly her only solo Wonder Woman film. Her supporting cast strengthen the story and give good banter, when they could have easily been annoying comic relief. However, weak villains and misplacement of certain plot points hold the movie back.
