The Early Years<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Affleck\u2019 s first role, albeit a small one, was in the movie School Ties<\/strong> (1992) where he plays an \u201cantisemitic bully\u201d Chesty Smith<\/em>. He then landed the least likable character in a movie full of likable characters as Fred Bannion, <\/em>high school senior with a paddle, in Dazed and Confused<\/strong> (1993). He continued his work with director Kevin Smith<\/em> as Holden McNeil<\/em> in Chasing Amy<\/strong> (1997) where he finally lands a starring role that required him to show emotional range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
