Marvel had planned for adult animated shows to be developed for Hulu Those four shows were Howard the Duck, Tigra and Dazzler, MODOK<\/em>, and Hit Monkey<\/em>, which would’ve culminated in a team-up show called The Offenders<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Variety has reported that Howard the Duck<\/em> and Tigra and Dazzler<\/em> will not happen<\/a>, also meaning that The Offenders<\/em> won’t happen as well. MODOK<\/em> and Hit Monkey<\/em> will still see the light of the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These shows were announced to be in development while Jeph Loeb was still in charge of Marvel Entertainment. Loeb has stepped down<\/a>, with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige taking over the whole entertainment division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tigra and Dazzler’s<\/em> production suddenly stopped 15 weeks into production, because of creative differences with Marvel. The showrunner and writers got fired and Marvel had plans to hire <\/em>new staff, but that never happened. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kevin Smith was in charge of Howard the Duck<\/em>, but no reason was provided as to why that show isn’t moving forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only Marvel shows left under Loeb is the final season of Agents of SHIELD, Helstrom, Hit Monkey, <\/em>and MODOK<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ghost Rider<\/em> starring Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes was also in development, but Marvel chose not to move forward with it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hulu Senior VP Craig Erwich spoke about the upcoming shows on the streaming service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I have seen quite a few episodes of\u00a0MODOK<\/em>, which I\u2019m really excited about,” said Erwich. “Helstrom<\/em>, we\u2019re currently in production on. I\u2019ve seen the first four episodes of that as well and I\u2019m really excited about it.\u00a0It is a definitely a different corner of the Marvel universe in terms of its horror.\u00a0It\u2019s a really unique take on a horror show and that has a very unique family situation at the center of it.\u00a0So, we\u2019ll be announcing dates of those soon.”<\/p>Craig Erwich speaking at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour <\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Marvel’s future plans for TV involve a highly ambitious plan of connecting the Disney+ shows with the films. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
