As the rivalry of the streaming services continues, it seems that Netflix&#8217;s crown jewel has met its match in the new Disney+ exclusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/mandalorian-snipe-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17285\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/mandalorian-snipe-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/mandalorian-snipe-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/mandalorian-snipe-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/mandalorian-snipe-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/mandalorian-snipe.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statistics indicated that, in its first seven days of release, demand for <em>The Mandalorian<\/em> surpassed that of <em>Stranger Things 2<\/em> in its first seven days by a whopping 68.8 percent.  This leaves other shows in the dust, as the Disney+ show surpassed demand after the <em>Doctor Who<\/em> season 11 premiere by 72.3 percent and demand after the first episode of <em>Westworld <\/em>season 2 by 175 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s no secret that <em>The Mandalorian<\/em> has grown a significant following.  The show always trends on Twitter each time a new episode releases, and it is currently one of the few pieces of original content on the new, ever-growing streaming service.  Still, it is baffling that a show with such a dedicated fan base as <em>Stranger Things<\/em> has been passed up by this new show still in its first season, and by a significant margin too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/stranger-l-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17284\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/stranger-l-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/stranger-l-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/stranger-l-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/stranger-l.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The Mandalorian<\/em> stars Pedro Pascal, with a new episode streaming every Friday.
