So, in anticipation of films featuring other Batman villains, who would be better than me to play Egghead? The villain was one of the top contenders for the antagonist in the cancelled <em>Batman &amp; Robin<\/em> sequel, <em>Batman Unchained<\/em>, according to Joel Schumacher in a 1997 interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/1997\/voices\/columns\/helmer-s-3rd-at-bat-1117435255\/amp\/\">Variety<\/a>, and a further interview in 2015 with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/heat-vision\/batman-begins-secret-history-movies-almost-got-made-802032\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, where he gives further details about <em>Batman Unchained.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/vincent-price-as-egghead-in-the-1960s-batman-tv-series.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16452\" width=\"473\" height=\"598\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/vincent-price-as-egghead-in-the-1960s-batman-tv-series.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/vincent-price-as-egghead-in-the-1960s-batman-tv-series-237x300.jpeg 237w, https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/vincent-price-as-egghead-in-the-1960s-batman-tv-series-768x972.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px\" \/><figcaption>Vincent Price \/\/ Egghead<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a short while, many of Alexander&#8217;s followers had told him he should instead play the character of The Penguin &#8211; previously played by Danny DeVito in 1992&#8217;s <em>Batman Returns<\/em>. He blamed this on his natural waddle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">apparently the masses have decided that I\u2019m a better Penguin than Egghead.
