\u00a0Prior to the release of Guardians Of The Galaxy, nobody expected the film to succeed. The films concept was foreign, the source material was crazy, and fans worried that Marvel had finally bitten off more than it could chew. Then the movie release and audiences were blown away.\u00a0 With the perfect combination of action and comedy, Marvel once again struck gold, but one thing that stood out above all; was the films music. But what many don’t realize, is that the final soundtrack wasn’t what the director first planned.\u00a0Director James Gunn<\/em> just recently revealed what I am calling “The Lost Tracks”.<\/p>\n

The original, Which you can see below, had some changes, the songs in bold are what we now refer to as “the lost tracks:”<\/p>\n

When asked<\/a> about these tracks, Gunn replied:<\/p>\n

Some of these songs were in the first cut of the movie \u2013 the mean blue guard danced through the prison listening to Magic on Quill\u2019s headphones, and Livin Thing featured in a montage in the Milano after the gang left the prison. We shot Quill singing \u2018Never Been to Spain\u2019 at the Nova guards in an aggressive manner when he was having his mug shot taken, but the winding-up-the-finger gag worked better, so it never made the cut. The rest were never really in, but I thought this would give you a good idea of the complete Awesome Mix to which young Peter Quill might have lived his life.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

First of all, this movie has the best soundtrack that I have experienced. I can’t even imagine how tedious the producers must have been to pick these songs. They match the movie at every turn and they did a perfect job of setting up the “mood” of the movie right from the start.<\/p>\n

I have listened to Come and Get Your Love <\/em>probably a hundred times before this movie was even released, and I can’t think of a better song to go along with Peter Quill’s<\/em> sweet dance moves to start us off right. That scene captures the entire essence of Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em>.<\/p>\n
