If so, you should try this"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theculturednerd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/ps4-1381952942.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12599\" src=\"http:\/\/theculturednerd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/ps4-1381952942.jpg\" alt=\"ps4-1381952942\" width=\"530\" height=\"283\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When Christmas morning rolled in, many were excited to open their brand new PS4 but shocked and disappointing to find that a group of hackers took down both the PSN and XBL networks, leaving any and every online service inaccessible for the unforeseeable future.<\/p>\n<p>But then the light at the end of the tunnel became visible and Xbox Live came out free in the clear, then shortly after Sony&#8217;s network services began to restore themselves.<\/p>\n<p>But many of you, myself included, started up their PS4&#8217;s after hearing the news only to find that the connectivity issue was not resolved. On my PS4 I was disappointed\u00a0to find a repeat error of\u00a0<strong>CE-33987-0, <\/strong>but luckily I found a solution.<\/p>\n<p>If, like me,\u00a0you are getting the network error CE-33987-0 do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the PS4&#8217;s Settings menu and go into the Network Settings<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;set up internet connection&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Choose either Wi-Fi or Lan Cable options (whichever one you primarily use will work)<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>CUSTOM<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If your connection is password locked now enter your password<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Automatic<\/strong> for IP Address settings<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Do Not Specify<\/strong> for the DHCP Host name<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Automatic<\/strong>\u00a0for the DNS Settings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now here comes the important part:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select <strong>Manual<\/strong> for the MTU settings<\/li>\n<li>Change the number in the prompt box to<strong> 1472<\/strong> (Mine was defaulted at <strong>1500<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Do Not Use<\/strong> for the Proxy<\/li>\n<li>And finally Finish and Test your connection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And thats all, for me it took about 30 seconds of my day to get this done and right back into playing Destiny. Hopefully you all have similar look.
