\"Director<\/a><\/p>\n

Along with the new image of Superman<\/a> that was released earlier today USA Today <\/a>has posted a brand new interview with Director Zack Snyder. The new interview showcased a ton of new information about the film, including the plot and the inclusion of Batman.<\/p>\n

On the overall plot of the film:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

Man of Steel<\/i>\u00a0was all about Superman finding his place in the world as both a hero and as a man, ultimately saving the city of Metropolis from certain doom.\u00a0Dawn of Justice<\/i>\u00a0continues to immerse him on Earth by working at the\u00a0Daily Planet<\/i>\u00a0as Clark Kent along with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Perry White (Laurence Fishburne). But it also takes him to new environments such as Gotham City and introduces larger threats, including Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On adding Batman to the mix:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It ultimately made sense with\u00a0Dawn of Justice<\/i>\u00a0to add Bruce Wayne and his cowled alter ego to the mix. Because of Christopher Nolan\u2019s recent\u00a0Dark Knight<\/i>\u00a0trilogy, \u201cI was in no rush to put Batman in the movie,\u201d<\/strong> Snyder says, \u201cbut on the other hand it seemed organic the way our story was unfolding to start to feather him in.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instead of using several movies to define Affleck\u2019s Batman, Snyder felt the character\u2019s 75-year mythology is so deep in culture now that they can just jump to an older, road-weary take on the Dark Knight. Plus, he says, \u201cit\u2019s cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On the infamous title for the film:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

The director can\u2019t say exactly how the relationship between the two superheroes evolves, \u201cbut suffice it to say there is a \u2018v\u2019 in between their names\u201d<\/strong> in the movie title, Snyder says. He explains that having the \u201cv\u201d instead of \u201cvs.\u201d is a way \u201cto keep it from being a straight \u2018versus\u2019 movie, even in the most subtle way.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
