In a recent interview speaking to The Orlando Sentinel<\/a>, actor Mark Hamill (known for playing the main character Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars Trilogy) revealed that he went into the role with initial hesitation and\u00a0admits that the hype leading into Star Wars Episode VII may be problematic to some people.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have this feeling that no matter what we do there\u2019s going to be a faction that really is disappointed. You just can\u2019t live up to that.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hamill then discussed about getting back into the swing of being Luke Skywalker again.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve altered my diet. I\u2019ve started working out, but on the film itself: I toured departments, I\u2019ve looked at wardrobe, and I saw the creature shop. I went around and met all the cast people, saw the technicians working on some new things.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But aside from all the hard work, there has been plenty of refreshing moments with the cast according to Hamill:<\/p>\n

\u201cI hadn\u2019t seen Tony Daniels or Carrie [Fisher] or Harrison [Ford] or Peter Mayhew in ages\u2026 it was wonderful to see them again, because I didn\u2019t expect to. Again, this is all so unexpected. It\u2019s like getting out that pair of pants you haven\u2019t worn in five years and finding a 20-dollar bill in the pocket!\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But when asked about the film’s plot, and how they now handle the advent of the internet and spoilers:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a whole different world.\u00a0The first one no one cared. The second one there was a lot of interest, but it was before the internet\u2026 I tell people we\u2019re not trying to annoy you or tease you or play some massive game. Basically, what the goal is [is] to keep the surprises for the movie instead of spoiling them on the internet.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
