{"id":11774,"date":"2014-04-09T13:37:47","date_gmt":"2014-04-09T20:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theculturednerd.com\/?p=11774"},"modified":"2014-04-09T13:37:47","modified_gmt":"2014-04-09T20:37:47","slug":"square-enix-talks-final-fantasy-x-3-final-fantasy-xv-and-the-future-of-dissidia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/?p=11774","title":{"rendered":"Square Enix talks Final Fantasy X-3, Final Fantasy XV, and the future of Dissidia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theculturednerd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/image001_thumb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11804\" alt=\"image001_thumb\" src=\"http:\/\/theculturednerd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/image001_thumb.jpg\" width=\"554\" height=\"313\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since the release of Final Fantasy X\/X-2 HD Remaster, and the inclusion of its cryptic audio story set after X-2, many have been wondering if this was to hint at a future Final Fantasy X-3 installment.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, to address these rumors Square Enix took to Famitsu to clear up the rumors.\u00a0This week\u2019s issue of\u00a0<em>Famitsu<\/em>\u00a0magazine features a special article called \u201cThe Truth of Rumors 2014,\u201d which Square\u00a0reiterates their earlier response to western media when <em>Final Fantasy X<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>X-2<\/em>\u00a0producer Yoshinori Kitase stated that they currently are not working on a\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy X-3 <\/em>and the special epilogue was meant to give fans more story, without setting up anything new.<\/p>\n<p>Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto stated that the development of\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy XV\u00a0<\/em>is going very smoothly, and they are just about wrapped up the new scenes for\u00a0Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, which is nearing its final stage of development. He also stated that Square Enix should be revealing more information about the game very soon, which is giving fans the idea that once again E3 will be a big year for Square.<\/p>\n<p>On the subject of a possible sequel for the PSP hit Dissidia, series director Mitsunori Takahashi says \u201cI definitely want to make it,\u201d But aside from his desires to make the game there is no news yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\n&nbsp;
