First we had word that he would be included in the upcoming Batman Vs Superman film in 2015, and that actors such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theculturednerd.com\/2013\/11\/is-adam-driver-really-the-frontrunner-to-play-nightwing-in-batman-vs-superman\/\">Adam Driver,<\/a>\u00a0<a title=\"Penn Badgley and Ezra Miller are also now in the shortlist to play Nightwing?\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theculturednerd.com\/2013\/11\/penn-badgley-and-ezra-miller-are-also-now-in-the-shortlist-to-play-nightwing\/\">Penn Badgley, and Ezra Miller<\/a>, but now it seems we have a new development that could just shed a whole new light on the whole idea of including Nightwing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Over this past weekend, The Vampire Diaries\u00a0actor Steven McQueen tweeted the following:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theculturednerd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/nightwing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10658\" alt=\"nightwing\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theculturednerd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/nightwing.jpg\" width=\"510\" height=\"502\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Then shortly after doing so tweeted this:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theculturednerd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/nightwing1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10659\" alt=\"nightwing\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theculturednerd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/nightwing1.jpg\" width=\"492\" height=\"144\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">So what does this mean for fans? In short it means a lot. A few months ago,\u00a0Andrew Kreisberg and\u00a0\u00a0Marc Guggenheim spoke to some fans at Comic Con and stated that although they want to include Nightwing on Arrow, its highly unlikely:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>&#8220;We&#8217;ve heard the fans and we&#8217;re very well aware that they would like to see Nightwing and various other Bat-characters on the show.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;[But] that is a little bit out of our control, [and] I think [that movie] announcement made it a lot more out of our control!&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So what has changed?<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p3e2Iv-2LK\">Guillermo del Toro revealed some big news that DC<\/a> has a &#8220;plan&#8221; for a huge roll out, and heavily implied that this roll-out will consist of a connected Film and TV universe.<\/p>\n<p>Now comes the biggest question of all, Is that what Arrow could be setting up? What if Nightwing will be introduced in Arrow as Batman&#8217;s former side-kick. Have Arrow lay all the groundwork for the character, then have the same actor cameo in Batman Vs Superman, thus tying it all together for audiences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nNightwing sure is popular these days in the rumor mill.
