Yes, you read that correctly. DC is at it again. I mean sure, Marvel has its “Agents Of S.H.E.I.L.D” TV show that started earlier in the week, but DC seems to be coming out swinging. Currently Arrow is heading towards its Second Season, and with it later this year we will be getting a backdoor pilot to their upcoming Flash TV series.<\/p>\n

Then earlier this week DC announced we have a Commissioner Gordon TV series coming to Fox entitled “Gotham”. Which unlike most shows of its nature, this one got the full season order without the need for a pilot.<\/p>\n

But now, we have something nobody expected.\u00a0Deadline<\/a> broke the news that John Constantine is heading to TV on NBC, with Warner Bros. TV and DC Comics developing the project with writer and executive producer Daniel Cerone (\u00a0The Mentalist<\/i>). David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy,\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0Man of Steel, and the upcoming Batman\/Superman)<\/i>\u00a0– will also serve as a producer.<\/p>\n

Similar to the recently launched “The New 52” series, the TV show will be called\u00a0Constantine<\/i> instead of its original comic\u00a0tittle\u00a0Hellblazer<\/i>. According to the report, it will focus on:<\/p>\n

“John Constantine, an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond.”<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The biggest shocker for this is that David Goyer is producing. That could easily imply that this series very well may be included in the current DC Cinematic Universe Continuity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
