In a recent interview with The Daily Beast<\/a> while promoting his new film Prisoners, Hugh Jackman offered some new plot related tid-bits for the upcoming “inbetweenquel” X-Men Days Of Future Past<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

I\u2019m a fan of the\u00a0X-Men<\/i>\u00a0movies.\u00a0X2<\/i>\u00a0is probably my favorite. But what is the deal with the new film and combining the two casts? I\u2019m confused.<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019m happy that you feel that way, because I think some people are saying, \u201cAh, this just sounds like an excuse to get all these actors together and make an Avengers-style movie,\u201d but the truth is that it\u2019s a great script and Bryan is very ambitious to make the best movie of them all. He\u2019s got the biggest cast, the biggest budget, and he started it all, so it\u2019s his legacy. He\u2019s a fan of time-travel movies, and the detail that\u2019s gone into it is incredible. I\u2019m quietly confident that it will be the biggest and the best of them all. When I sat there on that panel at Comic Con, and looked down at all the actors, you think, \u201cThis might be one of the best ensembles ever assembled\u201d\u2026 Apart from Movie 43. [Laughs]<\/em><\/p>\n

Are we going to see you and Fassbender throw down? You\u2019d have my $15 right there.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s fair to say we don\u2019t get on that well. I get sent back to the past and he has no idea who I am, but you can imagine Wolverine has a bit of fun with that.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If this the case, I cant wait for the film. My favorite aspects of these films have always been those that involve Magneto, and I absolutely loved his portrayal by Fassbender in X-Men First Class, and if they two of them go at it in the next film, i’m sold.<\/p>\n
